We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. room 101 always works best.
i try every programs i can get my hands on.
i'm a sucker for web demos.
some are good for some things and some programs i like for other things, so, its like piece-work.
adobe photoshop is good.
jasc paint shop pro is good.
corel's painter is good,
-and i still have an old windows 95 corel photopaint that i whip out once in a while.
( i dont think they make it anymore except in their creative suite bundle, which means paying lots of money for stuff you might already have or dont need.)
a wacom is a good thing too.

there are also demos available to download at adobe and corel and jasc-
artrage has smaller programs that are downloadable and theres a new program that is open source that i havent tried yet that looks cool called paint.net its here- [link]
i think its free.
